FOTONA LASER
The Fotona StarWalker MaQX is an advanced laser system developed for aesthetic and dermatological treatments. It’s part of Fotona’s lineup of high-performance lasers that use Q‑switched technology—a method that produces very short, high‐energy pulses—to target and break up unwanted pigments while sparing surrounding tissue.
MECHANISM
The system employs Q‑switching to deliver ultra-short, high-energy pulses. This is particularly effective for breaking down pigmented targets (like tattoo ink or other pigmented lesions) into smaller fragments that the body can naturally clear away. At ROHTO clinic we use 2 wavelenght: 532 nm for more superficial pigment and 1,064nm for more deeper pigment.
The Fotona StarWalker MaQX has high beam quality and precise energy delivery, the laser minimizes damage to surrounding tissues. This targeted approach not only improves treatment outcomes but also helps reduce the risk of side effects such as scarring or post-inflammatory pigment changes.
At ROHTO AOHAL CLINIC, the treatment interval for Fotona is 2 - 4 weeks. This is the best interval to ensure safety and effectiveness of the treatment.
Other than treating hyper-pigmentations and evening out skin tone; Fotona StarWalker MaQX can also help resurfacing the skin, encouraging collagen & elastin production and smoothing out fine lines. Therefore, the skin will become smoother and more youthful-looking.

Cleanse the face, prep the skin for treatment

Skin analysis with VISIA machine
VISIA makes it easier for our doctor to identify the dark spots/patches on the skin that require treatment

Consultation with doctor.
Our doctor will diagnose and come up with a treatment plan

Apply numbing cream (if needed)

Our doctor performs the treatment on customer

Finish the treatment
Our therapist applies soothing cream on customer's skin, then applies moisturizer and sunscreen

Make-up (up to customer)
After the treatment, if requested by customer, ROHTO AOHAL CLINIC will provide free make-up to make sure customer exits our clinic with grace and confidence.

Skincare after treatment
- The treated area can get a little bit red for the first few hour. Customer should apply a cold compress or an ice pack to the treated area at home- Use face wash and moisturizer that are gentle on the skin and suitable for sensitive skin. Recommendation: AOHAL SKINCARE products, available at our clinic
- Minimize sun exposure and apply sunscreen with SPF30 or above
- 3 - 5 days after treatment, the skin on the treated areas wil darken and flake off naturally, revealing new and lighter skin underneath. During this time, customer needs to apply medicated cream according to doctor's prescription. DO NOT scratch the flaky skin, to avoid scarring and post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation
