MECHANISM
At ROHTO AOHAL CLINIC, we use Fractional CO2 Laser technology to treat pitted scars/acne scars.
The mechanism of the treatment is using a laser beam with a wavelength of 10.600 nm to target both the epidermis and the dermis of the skin. The laser beam is divided into thousands of tiny but deep columns into the skin, called microthermal treatment zones (MTZs). By using the MTZs, the laser only targets and treats intensively within the zone while the surrounding healthy tissues remain intact and unaffected.
The laser beam creates microscopic fake wounds on the skin, triggering the body's natural healing response. The healing response then leads to new collagen formation and collagen remodelling on the treated area.

Skincare after treatment
- After the treatment, there will be mild redness and swelling within the first 24 hours. The skin may feel burning or extremely tight. Moisturizer should be applied generously 2 - 3 times a day. Please apply the moisturizer gently to avoid peeling off the crust too soon
- Avoid washing the face for the first 24 hours. After that, you can wash your face 2 - 3 times a day, only with clean water. DO NOT use hot water or any face wash or soap
- After 24 hours, there will be a layer of thin and dark crust covering the skin. After 7 - 10 days, the crust will peel off naturally. Customers may experience itchiness. DO NOT scratch to avoid peeling off the crust too soon, leaving unwanted scars
- Drink a lot of water, at least 2 liters a day
- Minimize sun exposure for 1 month after the treatment and use sunscreen with SPF30 or above when going out
- Use face wash and moisturizer that are gentle on the skin and suitable for sensitive skin. Recommendation: Dermacept or AOAHAL SKINCARE products, available at our clinic.
- DO NOT exfoliate or go to the sauna during 1 month after the treatment
- Come to our clinic for check-up 1 - 2 week after the treatment
